Controlled Flight into Terrain (CFIT) mishaps remains one of the largest threats to aviation today.
In the FLYCO CFIT course, the course covers the definitions and terms related to CFIT mishaps.
The course covers the history of the development of systems, like GPWS and EGPWS,
that are used to avoid this type of incident. The course then covers in-depth examples of the
types of incidents as well.
The predominant factors of loss of situation awareness and poor CRM are
covered extensively. Following this, the course covers methods to reduce the chance of a CFIT incident
by explaining types of errors, for example, altimeter error, communication errors etc. The course then
explains step by step procedures and their need to be carried out without hesitation.
This course meets all state authority regulations. FLYCO courses are constantly monitored and
updated when major changes in authority documentation is released.
